UK studio Bitmap Bureau is developing the game.

Final Vendetta is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, which according to the developers is ‘paying homage to the iconic arcade titles of the 80’s and 90’s such as Double Dragon and Final Fight’.

The game will be playable either in solo or co-op mode, with one of the highlights being a fitting dance/techno soundtrack by Featurecast which includes four exclusive tracks from 90’s UK electronic dance duo, Utah Saints. We’ve got the full trailer below.

Final Vendetta will be available digitally on all platforms including Steam and Xbox plus physical editions will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch – including we’re told, some limited edition versions with merch!

Martin Defries, head honcho at Numskull Games who will publish the game, said:

“We’re thrilled to be publishing Final Vendetta, another brilliant retro-inspired title from the Bitmap Bureau team. It’s been twenty years since we’ve seen a game like this, combining everything we love about those 90s classics with a distinctly modern style. Beat ‘em up fans will not be disappointed.”

Final Vendetta will launch on consoles and PC May 20th 2022.
