Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Splatoon 3, and Bayonetta 3 are all tentatively planned in for 2022. Ubisoftâs Mario + Rabbids is likely to be here for the summer. And of course, there’s Breath of the Wild 2, the sequel to one of the biggest console launch games of all time. Nintendo is expecting to release it this year, but could be saving it for the 2022 festive season.
As you’d expect, Twitter is already awash with rumours, fake stories and fan wish lists, with hopeful shouts of Mario Kart 9, F-Zero Switch, GoldenEye and a new Donkey Kong.
