The latest ‘budget’ iPhone has arrived with 5G and a faster processor.
Apple dropped a brand new iPhone SE model for 2022, and whilst most of the rumours around specs were correct, it’s nice to finally be able to look at the official spec and see how this new model stacks up against the 2020 version.
Looking at the two side by side, it’s hard to spot the differences, but that’s intentional. Apple have kept the much-loved design of the previous pocket-friendly SE but improved the hardware inside to bring it more in line with what we all expect in 2022 from a budget/mid-range phone.
The new iPhone SE 2022 or iPhone SE 3 as some will call it, retains the same iPhone 8 shell and a Touch ID home button featured on the 2020 model but it’s been kitted out with the same A15 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 13, plus Apple have added 5G and a stronger glass body.

The iPhone SE 2022 will be available to pre-order from March 11th and then goes on general sale from March 18th.
