The phone manufacturer finally makes it official with Samsung Unpacked event invites

Rumours, leaks, whisperings – some of them turned out to be true and for the rest, we’ll find out on February 9th as Samsung have confirmed that as the date for their next Samsung Unpacked event.

With a bold ‘S’ and ’22’ featured in the event teaser’s logo, no prizes for guessing what they may be unveiling. We’re expecting the Galaxy S22 to be officially unveiled, along with the S22 Plus and S22 Ultra.

The interesting point to note (ahem) about the  S22 Ultra is that it is rumoured to also be the official replacement for the Galaxy Note series – incorporating some of the best bits from each range, including the Note’s S-Pen stylus.

All this will be confirmed on Feb 9 and Samsung will be streaming the entire event live on their official website as well as YouTube.

The event announcement included the following teaser: “With this smartphone, the night is yours to capture with the best and brightest photos and videos — and you’ll also dominate the day with revolutionary power, speed and tools. It’s part of the smartest Galaxy experience yet, delivering cutting-edge innovation throughout the Galaxy ecosystem while also blazing new trails with sustainable materials.”

Take from that what you will but there’s no doubt the event and subsequent launch will certainly liven up the mobile market as all those S9, S10, S20 and S21 owners decide whether the S22 will be a worthwhile upgrade.
