Where we’re going, we’ll still need roads, but no petrol required.
Is an electric DeLorean really on the way this year? Quite possibly, following a teasing Tweet from the DeLorean Motor Company, complete with a silhouette image of the iconic car and hashtag #DeloreanEVolved.
A car with a hugely popular fanbase across the world, thanks to it’s starring role in the Back to the Future films, rumours and news stories have been around for few years that it would one day make a come back as an electric vehicle.
The Future was never promised. Reimagine today.
Sign up for the premiere of the DeLorean in 2022.

Despite the popularity of the car, DMC who built it, shut down a few years after putting the original car into production back in the 80s. Only 9000 or so were ever built.
The company and brand was bought out in 1995 but they’ve never released a new car, instead they provided replacement parts for the DeLoreans around the world that were still running.
Then, in 2021, a licence was granted allowing replica vehicles to be produced. This is where things get exciting for DMC. We don’t know any more at this stage – it could be a limited run, a concept or may be a collaboration with someone like Elon Musk and Tesla, but those interested can register now at the Delorean website for updates.
Now where’s our Huey Lewis cassette?
